| “Museum Interlopings” is a series of subtle interventions made in the corners of and in between the displays of a local artefacts museum. These interventions take the form of various modern everyday objects normally alien to this site eg. children’s toys, fashion accessories, domestic items, etc. These objects appear as incidental, as if ‘lost’ or displaced from their familiar context. By placing objects ‘in-between’ exhibits, questions are raised about what gets omitted from history and what is deemed ‘valuable’ by its position in a museum.. |
