Scentimental Journeys invites visitors to Lake Windermere to appreciate the art work though their nose as well as their eyes.  It may unlock some dormant memory when people investigate the contents of old suitcases.

Margaret James-Barber is a solo and a collaborative artist, a curator and creator of contemporary art, frequently linking work in in different and unusual locations, sometimes using familiar domestic items out of context. Her practice is often site specific and ephemeral, responding to a place or situation, as much concept as construction. It may make you smile and will make you think. She has worked with food, smell, light shadow, text, billboards, sound and performance, as well as more traditional media in more traditional places.
