Description:

Moon is a response to a Romantic vision of immersion in nature. The insects invoke an impenetrable reality that exists alongside ours.  The choice of an industrial electric light rather than a candle or fire to attract them providing a prosaic counter to the transcendental orb of the moon that appears to attract the man.  The work is characterized by an ambiguity that offers neither explanation nor conclusion.
